Although I appreciate this book very much, the similarities with it and "The Secret Garden" are quite glaring. I had known the books for a while but never connected the themes, let alone that they were both written by Frances Burnett. I think that the book speaks so much about the era in which it was based. For me, this is a classic, but for anyone wondering about the movie, I would highly recommend seeing it. It is a masterpiece!

The book is full of sensitivity. The main character is similar to the.one of the secret garden. An amazing book. I love it. Now, I can see the movie 😉

I think it is a great book but if it had the drawings in color it would be better, because it would be more visual
